The Dubai Wood Show in UAE is a showcase for timber industry operators. This year was the second time Pölkky exhibited at the fair.
– The fair was an excellent opportunity for us to meet our current customers and make new contacts, says Sales Director Mikko Luikku.
– After 5-10 years, India and Pakistan will be important market areas for us.
With it’s growing economy, India has a huge amount of potential, particularly in raw wood exports but also as a market for processed products.
– For a company like ours it is essential to be present at areas where timber is not abundant, but the demand for it is increasing. I am convinced that the future belongs to timber construction, Mr Luikku says.
